Lexcan was incorporated in 1968 to develop and market new, state-of-the-art roofing and waterproofing technology. In conjunction with our sister company Lexcor (<a href='http://www.lexcor.net' target='_blank'>www.lexcor.net</a>), we pioneered the use of many modern commercial roofing and waterproofing systems, including EPDM, Modified Bitumen, TPO and fleece-backed membranes. We also helped develop and build the world's first commercial biogas collection and power generation facility. Over the years, Lexcan has completed tens of thousands of successful roofing, waterproofing and liner installations, ranging from the deserts of Algeria to the frozen tundra of Ellesmere Island in the high Arctic. The knowledge and experience we have gained in the past has resulted in the quality systems we offer today … quality that keeps our customers coming back to us time after time.Roofing, Roofing Systems, Roofing Solutions, Membrane, Insulation, Vapour Retarder, Geomembranes, Waterproofing, Liners, Floating Covers, CSPE, C.S.P.E., Hypalon, EPDM, E.P.D.M., Ethylene Propylene Dience Monomer, TPO, T.P.O., Thermoplastic Olefin, Thermoplastic Polyolefin, PVC, P.V.C., Polyvinyl Chloride, EV, Evaloy, Mechanically Fastened, Heat welded seam, thermoset, thermoplastic, Biogas Collection Systems, Methane gas collection systems, Polyethylene, kraft, Loose laid and ballasted, fully adhered, vented roof system, asphalt adhered, polyisocyanurate, isocyanurate, iso, Lexcan, Lexcan Limited, Lexcan Industrial Supply Limited

Green Roofs

General Information Sample Projects Warranty Information

To most people "Green Roofing" is synonymous with a garden roof. Lexcan has completed many, large garden roof projects, with some now in use for over 30 years. Garden roofs are relatively expensive, however, so they are certainly not for every building owner. Fortunately, there are other, more economical, environmentally friendly roofing options.

For instance, many specifiers are surprised to learn that heat reflective roofing systems actually help reduce pollution and global warming. For approximately the same cost as a traditional roof, you can now specify a roof that will actively help the environment! See the section on Cool (Heat Reflective) Roofs for more information.

Alternatively, you may foresee an opportunity down the road to reuse a roof. Lexcan has some of the easiest systems to reuse. Click on "Recycling or Reusing Roofs" for information on this Green Roof option.
